A lecture free and open to the public by Dr. Rolanda L. Ward, Dr. Stephanie Boddie, and Dr. Danjuma Gibson

Through a research grant funded by The Association of Theological Schools (ATS), Dr. Rolanda L. Ward, Dr. Stephanie Boddie, and Dr. Danjuma Gibson conducted a research project designed to better ascertain how black and brown communities understand and engage in grief work and lamentation in order to facilitate healing and recovery in the aftermath of racial violence and massacres. Students were also invited to participate in a portion of this research to better understand how the practice of lamentation could serve as a source of theological pedagogy. In this event, Drs. Ward, Boddie, and Gibson will discuss some of their salient experiences and talk about preliminary findings.

This lecture is free and open to the public and will be livestreamed.
